ALL ABOUT CARRIE LYN 

 

I am a Personal Stylist and Retail Consultant living in Scottsdale, AZ.  My story with fashion began when I was a little girl, in rural Muscatine, IA. I watched my mom passionately turn what used to be the caretaker's house on our property into a women’s boutique for her and her friends back in the 70’s.  The Little House: Fine Fashion for Women, carried luxury fashion for women and eventually Carrie’s Corner was born within The Little House offering dresses for little girls.  My mom would go to market in Chicago, IL (once taking me with her), buying with her girlfriends in mind and would then call them when everything arrived.  I watched them play “dress-up” for hours.  It was a beautiful thing! 

 

I learned the art of personal styling and “ward-robing” while working at The Buckle.  I discovered how much there was to learn about how clothing is made to fit different styles of bodies and that no one should have to settle.  I also realized how rewarding it is to help others find exactly what they were looking for… and more.  And that it isn’t that easy for everyone!  Through my 20 years of working in retail, a short time as a Recruiter in Human Resources, and a full-time Mom, I respect the importance of integrity, knowledge, genuine care, time, and FUN!

 

Now I spend my days between sourcing the latest and greatest brands and trends for the boutiques at one of the best 5 diamond resorts in Scottsdale, AZ; The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, dressing the men and women of Scottsdale, AZ, and my blog: Legacy Girl.  I have always had a strong eye for style, and the burning desire to stay on top of the ever-changing fashion trends.  Shopping is therapy to me.  I am a competitive person, and I am driven to see the smile on my client’s face as they walk out of the dressing room because they look and feel amazing!  Whether in a suit for work, a dress for a special occasion, or casual and comfy on the weekends, you should always live your life…styled. 

 

I have learned through personal experience, that life can be cut short.  My goal is to inspire & make it easy for people to look and feel amazing all the time.  When you look great, you feel great.  When you feel great, you do great things.

Typical Carrie:     You will most likely find me wearing jeans, a tee-shirt, and one of my favorite Stella & Dot pieces shopping or cheering for my kids on the golf course and soccer fields.

 

Favorite Spot:      Sitting on the patio of La Hacienda at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort, watching the desert sky turn into an incredible shade of blue while the sun sets. With a margarita, chips and guacamole of course! 

 

Passionate About:  My family. I am blessed with a great husband; Tim, and two kids that amaze me everyday; Taegan & Nicklaus, along with the sweetest dog ever; Lucky Star. I also LOVE a great pair of jeans, killer shoes, and rockin' accessories! 

 

Guilty Pleasure:  Happy Hour with my friends.....and social media!
